I Am Thankful For….

With the hustle and bustle of the holidays upon us I find myself getting so caught up in the stress of things that I forget what we are even celebrating. When life happens we often times forget just how blessed we are. When you take time to sit down and write out the many things that you are thankful for, you get an overwhelming feeling of joy. The little things in your day that you take for granted or the big things all add up to a life that is overflowing with blessings from above. Take some time in your day to just jot down a few things that you are thankful for and watch how the list keeps going and going…

I am thankful for…..

-The Lord’s unfailing love and endless Grace

-My family who always supports and loves me

-My friends who make me laugh and remind me to not take life so seriously

-My health and the desire to be healthy

-The fact that I have roof over my head, clothes on my back and food on the table

-Running water

-My doodle, Reese… he makes my day so much brighter

-Barre3.. These workouts have changed the way I view working out and my body

-Cooking.. I love making new recipes and letting people try them

-A good cup of coffee.. this can make or break your day (not really, but kind of)

-Prayer (I love having conversations with the one who tells me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made)

-Children: The gift of life is a beautiful thing and the happiness that a child brings to your life is immeasurable

-Our freedom.. We are lucky to live in a country where we have men and women fighting to protect not only our country but our rights every single day.

-Love: to love and be loved unconditionally

-Laughter.. A day without laughter is a day wasted

-Ambition- Be a go- getter

-Faith (Being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1)

-Travel.. Life is meant to lived – Travel as often, as far, as long and as much as you can.

-Happiness.. You have to learn that it is a choice

-Positive people (you need as many in your life as you can get)

-The opportunities that I have been given

-Good food (I love a good meal)

– Ice cream (who doesn’t love ice cream?)

-Kindness… Cultivate it

-Joy .. Choose it daily

-Big T- shirts

-Weakness (For our weakness is a vessel for his power and our flaws are a canvas for his grace)

-Cereal…and the cereal isle in Walmart its my favorite

-Nights where I can just come home pour a big glass of wine, turn on my favorite show and get to cooking…. Those are my favorite.

I am thankful that I have so many things to be thankful for. Lets try to remember that this holiday season when we find our selves stressed and in a hurry. Slow down and count your blessings and give thanks in all circumstances.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12

Let his light continue to shine so brightly upon us this Christmas season.
